RONNEY
DI SCENZA
Born
in Ohio in 1954, Ron started drawing
at the tender age of three. His
Italian cultural heritage highly influenced
his passion for art at an early age.
During
several summer excursions to Italy, his
parents introduced him to the works of
various artists and their influence can
be seen in his works. In 1970, his
family moved to Long Island (New York)
where Ron began his artistic education
attending the School of Visual Arts in
New York City.
After
receiving his university diploma in Fine
Arts he became the youngest teacher of
the school. Some time later he
began his career as a freelance editorial
artist working for various magazines and
publishing houses/recording studios (Ballantine
Books, Bantam Books, Doubleday, RCA Records,
Field & Stream, Sports Illustrated,
and Time magazine).
Ronney’s creative genius is also
skilfully employed in enhancing those
features which best represent an
item, product or brand name.
His infinite
talent now lives in his native land, Molise,
where unquestionable traces of his artistic
creativity are to be found in frescoed
chapels and cathedrals, oil paintings as
well as objects of common use signed by
him.
